Jungle Survival Training

A fantastic sequence of team building activities: Any place, any time, anywhere.

Jungle Survival Team Expedition is an engaging series of team building initiatives that use the diverse natural terrain of the event location of your choice. Teams follow the experiential learning cycle as they experience unique problem solving challenges, reflect on the team process, and develop and test new theories of performance that can be applied to later program events. The program design and facilitation ranges from light discussion to in depth knowledge transfer to personal and professional lives. The program will highlight key business, communication and cross cultural relationship concepts that are relevant to propelling your organization toward future success. All of this is set in a beautiful outdoor setting and framed by the need of the team to survive while in the jungle.

In addition to the navigation to checkpoint challenges, program activities may include challenges such as:

Tents of Communication

As the team has just found themselves marooned in the jungle, they must erect their tents for safe lodging for the following days. All the members of the team have different abilities including use of speech, sight and body in order to create a system of communication which enables the successful construction of the tent. Concepts learned in this activity will help the team become more successful in challenging issues that follow.

Chiang Mai Traverse

Teams will navigate to the location where they will be challenged to successfully use the rope, harness, helmet and a tree to set up a device to retrieve an object. The team must strategize to figure out the most efficient way for the object to be retrieved. One participant from every team will have to be blindfolded as the rest of the team supports this blindfolded participant with the rope set up. Watch as the teams creatively retrieve the object by communicating and supporting their team member!

Jungle Survival Cooking

Using bamboo and fire, participants must carve plates, bowls and utensils, prepare and cook an entire dinner as a team. Success is determined by the flavor of the food. This serves as an excellent precursor to helping the team develop strong trust and communication for difficult challenges ahead. CMRCA will customize activities to be representative of your organization’s products and services. Group consensus and planning tools will be presented throughout the program.

Timeframe

Typically the Jungle Survival Team Expedition last from 3-4 hours but will vary depending on the depth of the debrief session.
