Program Manager, Instructor / Facilitator
Growing up in Colorado, USA, Denali explored the Rocky Mountains in all seasons, papered her walls with topographic maps, and competed in the Junior Olympics in whitewater kayaking. Denali has nurtured her passion for the outdoors with backpacking, mountaineering, and adventure racing expeditions across the globe.
While attending Princeton University, Denali gravitated towards leadership and teaching in the context of outdoor education. She trained other undergraduates to be qualified leaders in Princeton's acclaimed freshmen orientation program, and served as student coordinator of the University Climbing Wall. She gained personal experience on trips to regional climbing areas. She has also guided students on extended outdoor trips across the American West, helping them develop wilderness living skills, nurture their own leadership abilities, and foster an understanding of the natural world.
Denali has worked extensively with students of all ages and skill levels. She takes great joy in the community aspect of rock climbing, and aspires to ensure that everyone's experience with CMRCA is welcoming and connective.
Denali is certified as a Wilderness First Responder by the Wilderness Medicine Institute of the National Outdoor Leadership School. She is also certified in Adult and Child CPR & Airway Management and trained in the use of an AED by WMI.
