Phairat
Kaewkan (Muad) is a head guide of the Chiang
Mai Rock Climbing Adventures Climbing Guide
Team. He has been guiding since the
year 2001 and has more than 400 guiding
days at Crazy Horse Buttress. Muad
is a member of the Thai National Team and
recently competed at the Asian Championships
in Iran in September 2005 and Taiwan in 2006,
and at the Asian Indoor Games in Bangkok
in November 2005. He has also competed
in the ESPN Asian X Games on three different
occasions in both Malaysia and South Korea.
Muad is an incredible motivator, leader,
athlete and teacher. His fun demeanor
is comforting when knowing what he has accomplished. His
energy and enthusiasm to share his love for
climbing and to teach students to reach their
dreams and milestones is unmatched.
Muad is a member of the Chiang Mai Climbing
Club. He has an incredible ability
to make friends with students quickly and
takes on a role of mentor and role model
easily. He has worked with the Sport
Authority of Thailand, The Thai Sport Climbing
Association, The Thai National Rock Climbing
Team, Chiangmai Climbing Club and with the
International Sustainable Development Studies
Institute.
Muad has worked extensively with young students
and has helped more than 1000 students climb
to new heights and rappel in the face of
their fears. His knowledge of local
custom combined with his experience internationally
make him an incredibly safe, attentive, and
exciting instructor. Muad is an invaluable
part of the organization.
Muad is certified in Wilderness First Aid
and CPR.
All
of our staff/guides are held to stringent
company standards and are tested regularly
on their knowledge of advanced climbing
techniques and first aid safety. We are
constantly striving to improve.
