Uthit
Yodkhaman (Son) is a head rock climbing instructor
of the Chiang Mai Rock Climbing Adventures Team. He
has been teaching and guiding students since
the year 2000 and has instructed more than 500
days at Crazy Horse Buttress. Uthit is an official
route setter for the Thai Sport Climbing Association
and served as an assistant route setter during
the Asian Indoor Games in Bangkok in 2005.
Son is a highly intelligent, safe and experienced
leader and teacher. He has incredible athleticism. His
experience and attentive nature make him an incredible
instructor.
Son has developed more than 20 rock climbing routes
at Crazy Horse Buttress in Northern Thailand. He
has worked with the Sport Authority of Thailand,
The Thai Sport Climbing Association, Chiang Mai
Climbing Club, and the International Sustainable
Development Studies Institute. He has worked
with m than 1000 high school age students.
Son has appeared in magazines and articles such
as Men’s Jornal, A guide to Rock Climbing
in Northern Thailand, Nature Explorer, and more.
Son is certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR.
Son’s upbringing in the Mae Hong Son Province
of Northern Thailand have given him incredible
skills in hiking, camping, guiding and jungle travel
and trekking. His upbringing combined with
his leadership skills and climbing motivation make
him an invaluable asset to the organization.
All
of our staff/guides are held to stringent company
standards and are tested regularly on their knowledge
of advanced climbing techniques and first aid
safety. We are constantly striving to improve.
