Excuse the Mess...

If you have visited the CMRCA in the last couple weeks you have noticed some big changes at the wall.  The floor is looking shiny and new with a fresh layer of concrete and we are building a brand new bathroom in the gym.  

Over the next couple months we are completely renovating the adventure shop by removing the wall and bathroom currently behind the desk.  This will allow for more retail space to display our latest gear and a larger desk for customers to sign-up for courses and transport to the crag.

We are psyched about these improvements around the office and apologize for any inconvenience they may cause. We'll keep everyone up to date as the project progresses!

A Fine Line

We're hosting the first CMRCA Movie Night of 2012 next Thursday, 19 January.  We're excited to present A Fine Line - a film that follows one season with some of the world's most visionary boulderers as they pursue the best - and worst - rock in America from Alpine Colorado to remote Idaho and the Deep South.  Featuring Jimmy Webb, Brion Boges, Dave Graham, Daniel Woods, Peter Beal, and other top climbers.  A Fine Line is a visual meditation on the bouldering life.  

Admission has been discounted to THB 80 if you register on Eventbrite by noon on Thursday, January 19.  It will cost THB 100 at the door.  

CMRCA In the Christmas Spirit

The CMRCA staff spent the holiday weekend at Three King's Monument shimmying people into harnesses, belaying, and handing out high-fives at the Promenada Christmas Fair & Charity.  The CMRCA mobile climbing wall was a huge hit and we've calculated that nearly 500 people got on the wall over the 4-day event.  We installed a bell at the top of the route and it could be heard throughout the festivities - even over many renditions of Here Comes Santa Claus and Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. 

We were also able to set-up a CMRCA booth and display and sell some of our newest gear.  Thank you to everyone that came by!
