Austere First Aid (AFA/WFA)

Being prepared for medical emergencies in challenging environments is essential for outdoor enthusiasts, hikers, and adventurers. Our 2-day austere first aid course offers a overview of the essential skills required to manage injuries and illnesses when medical care is limited or unavailable.

Prerequisites

  • No prior experience is required to take the Austere First Aid course.
  • Students must be at least 12 years old with parental consent.

Evaluation

Successful completion with certification is based on 100% attendance, demonstrated proficiency with practical skills, and a successful grade on a final written exam. We are committed to making reasonable accommodations for any student with special needs.

Certification

Upon successful completion, students will receive certification in Austere First Aid (AFA) and Adult CPR. Certification is valid for three years.
